Cat Greenleaf has had an odd professional path. In 1999, she began her career as an air traffic reporter for KGO radio in San Francisco. It was an unusual profession for the New York native, who had absolutely no sense of direction. Despite this, she returned to the East Coast in 2000, working as a traffic reporter for NY1, before moving on to hard news reporting for RNN TV in Queens. Again, she struggled to fit in, preferring to deliver jokes rather than facts. Cat was fortunate in that NYC TV saw her and offered her a chance to host her own lifestyle feature, On the Prowl with Cat Greenleaf, a self-produced weekly broadcast that hilariously highlights all of the unique activities, individuals, and odd characteristics that distinguish New York. These snappy pieces were an instant hit, and Cat was swiftly hired as a "roving craft reporter" on DIY Network's Craftlab on a daily basis. Her cheery excursions into towns throughout the country led to her presenting her own Travel Channel show, Vacation Home Search, and subsequently, a second travel show, Chasing History Home, on Treasure HD. Cat subsequently went to WNBC, where she worked as a Features Reporter for the channel, particularly on Today in New York and the 11 o'clock News.
