Casting Crowns is a Christian rock band established by youth pastor Mark Hall in Florida in 1999. They moved to Stockbridge, Georgia, where several of the members are now employed by a Baptist church. They've been nominated for a Grammy and a Dove Award. Their songs, according to Hall, is a mission of discipleship.
Casting Crowns was one of the few American bands invited to perform in North Korea in 2009. The band frequently travels and performs performances from Thursday through Saturday so that they may spend time with their families and go to church on Sundays and Wednesdays. Casting Crowns released their eighth studio album, Only Jesus, in November 2018.
