Carlos Bocanegra is a former professional soccer player from the United States. Bocanegra was a two-time MLS Defender of the Year who also had professional experience in England, Scotland, France, and Spain. He played for the United States for over 100 caps and was captain for six years.
He is presently the technical director for the Atlanta United Soccer Club, which will enter Major League Soccer in 2017.
