June is a 1979 graduate of the Naval Academy in Annapolis and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is currently the director of the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies and the director of Translational Research at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also an investigator of the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute.
