Luddington was educated at the American School in England at Thorpe in Surrey and completed her education at Oxford.
Luddington has lived in the United States for 8 years. This has given her an English/American hybrid accent. However when she was a child she learned to speak with an American accent. She has two brothers and a younger sister. When she was a child she was obsessed with The Ricki Lake Show and dressed her younger brother and sister up to play a couple in an abusive relationship. Her brothers' names are Daniel and Joey and her sister's name is Amy. Her brother Daniel has a daughter named Daisy who turned 9 on July 2 2012. Her sister had a baby boy on February 3rd 2012. Her mother has passed away but was born on October 28th.
Luddington has worked mainly in the United States. In February 2011 the Daily Mail described her as on the path to fame and fortune after being cast as Kate Middleton in a planned movie about the royal wedding.
