Born on April 14, 1993, Burnell Taylor is an American singer from New Orleans, Louisiana, who survived Hurricane Katrina with his family. On the twelfth season of American Idol in 2013, he sang his way to becoming a Top 10 finalist.
Taylor auditioned in Baton Rouge, singing ‘I'm Here’ and performed this same song at the semi-finals, where he was selected as one of the Top 5 male contestants to advance to the finals.
