Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, both vocalists, and songwriters form the country music duo, Brooks & Dunn. Brooks & Dunn were unquestioned rulers of the line-dancing craze in the 1990s. Tim DuBois' idea led to the formation of the pair in 1990. Both members were solo recording artists prior to the founding.
Brooks also released an album for Capitol Records in 1989 and wrote hit tracks for other singers, while both members charted two solo singles in the 1980s. The pair formed in 1991 and signed to Arista Nashville that same year. For the label, they've made eleven studio albums and five compilation albums.
