Brooks Douglass is a former state senator in Oklahoma, as well as an American film producer and actor. Douglass was elected as Oklahoma's youngest State Senator in 1990 when he was only 27 years old and ran as a Republican. A 1992 measure protecting the rights of crime victims was his hallmark piece of legislation. He represented District 40 from 1991 until 2003. In a 1994 special election, he ran unsuccessfully for the United States House of Representatives 6th district. He finished first in the primary but lost in the runoff to eventual winner Frank D. Lucas.
