Yik Yak was co-founded by Brooks Buffington, COO, and Tyler Droll in 2013, shortly after they graduated from Furman University. Yik Yak was founded by two friends who saw a need for hyper-local, open communications that would allow everyone in the community a voice.
Yik Yak is now played on more than 1,600 college and university campuses across the United States. Brooks was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
