He was in charge of training independent sales associates and managers in Tennessee and Alabama/West Florida, two of the company's top state operations, for 11 years. He founded The Leadership Development Institute (LDI) and The LDI Audio Series, and in 2007 and 2008, he helped led the Alabama/West Florida division to become the company's largest sales organization, with total revenues exceeding $85 million in those two years! Brian was a training pioneer at Aflac, and he rose to become one of the company's highest-paid sales and management trainers. His goal was to develop motivational sales training programs that would increase sales team retention and productivity. Aflac's salesmen are independent contractors who are paid entirely on commission - in other words, they are volunteers. The industry may be tough, and there are a lot of turnovers. Brian was instrumental in the formation of the Field Force Development department, which was in charge of training and motivating salespeople and managers across the country. Brian was eager to spread his message beyond the Aflac bubble by writing and speaking after working in sales for the world's best corporation in its sector, so he and his wife chose to relocate their family to Nashville, Tennessee. Brian has been spreading his message to audiences around the country since migrating to Tennessee, where he founded The Tinderbox Tapes Group, an online personal development membership club named after his book of the same name. He continues to create audio programs to go along with his keynotes and seminars. Brian has an instinctive urge to artistically share messages of hope and inspiration, having grown up as the son of a preacher.
