Born on January 7, 1959, Brian Baldinger is a former professional American football player. He was also a color commentator for National Football League telecasts on the Fox network. During college, he was playing as the offensive lineman for football team at Nassau Community College as well as in Duke University. He was not drafted in the 1982 NFL Draft and he was offered to be a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys to come to training camp where he earned a roster spot. Later in his career, he was playing for the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles. He started his broadcasting career at Fox in 1997 where he provided analysis for NFL Europe games and was promoted as the color commentary for the NFL games. Then he was hired by Compass Media Networks to serve as lead analyst for their national radio broadcasts of select Sunday afternoon NFL games. He became a co-host of the talk show for Sporting News Radio during football season, and taught seminars for Nadia Communications. He also covers Atlanta Falcons preseason games as an analyst on WXIA-TV. He is currently in his sixth year with NFL Network, where he is serving as an analyst on Thursday and Friday editions of Playbook and as NFL Network.
