The Steelers selected Brett Keisel in the seventh round in 2002. He was a special teams player who has seven solo special teams tackles in five games and two postseason games. The Carolina game was one of the highlights of Keisel's first season.
He recorded three solo special teams tackles and recovered a fumble on a punt that led to a Steelers touchdown. Keisel returned to the field in 2004 after missing a season due to injury, and he continued to play special teams while also seeing time on defense.
