Dennen has been a part of The Mosaic Project since its beginning in 2001, a nonprofit organization that has been teaching peace and understanding to youngsters in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Dennen produced an original musical curriculum for The Mosaic Project as its "Resident Rock Star" and program director, which was published as a CD titled "Children's Songs for Peace and a Better World" in 2003. It received a 2004 Children's Music Web Award as well as a Parent's Choice Approved Award in 2004.
