Brandon Novak is a motivational speaker, author, former professional skateboarder, and television personality. Discovered as a teen by Tony Hawk and Bucky Lasek, he joined the Powell-Peralta team, became the first skateboarder endorsed by Gatorade, and toured the world. He gained fame as a CKY crew member, appearing in the MTV series “Viva La Bam” and “Jackass" films as a stunt performer. Behind the spotlight, Novak battled severe heroin addiction for over 20–25 years, leading to homelessness and multiple failed rehabs. He achieved sobriety around 2015 after his 13th attempt.
