Bombino is a Nigerien singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is the lead member of Group Bombino and has appeared in the documentary Agadez the Music and the Rebellion. Bombino's sixth studio album Deran was nominated for a 2019 Grammy Awardfor Best World Music Album. This makes him the first Nigerien artist to be nominated for a Grammy Award.
