Robert C. Bob McNair is an American businessman, philanthropist, and owner of the National Football League's Houston Texans. McNair founded Houston NFL Holdings in 1998 with the goal of bringing a National Football League club to Houston. McNair was given the 32nd NFL franchise on October 6, 1999, according to the NFL.
His Houston Texans made their debut in 2002, defeating the Dallas Cowboys at Reliant Stadium, the Texans' home field.
