Krys Freeman is writer web 2.0 evangelist and critical thinker for social justice. Originally from New York s/he found her way to the west coast as an undergraduate at Occidental College in Los Angeles. In 2007 s/he earned a B.A. in Urban & Environmental Policy while also successfully completing a minor in Critical Theory & Social Justice.
In 2008 Krys began publishing bLaKtivist.com in an attempt to disempower harmful and oppressive ideologies for all systematically marginalized [read: bLaK] people. Her writing has also been published on AOL.com and Wiretapmag.org.Before relocating to the Bay Area in August 2008 Krys served as a Media Fellow at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
