Simply said, Blake helps students graduate happily and gives tools to schools to assist them do so. Blake is a great admirer of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is lactose intolerant, and his favorite movie is, unsurprisingly, The Notebook. Blake has hosted TEDx conferences, spoken at TEDx, and is the author of "The Campus Life Guide." He has shared the stage with Rick Mercer of CBC. Blake spent over a decade living, learning, and leading in university homes as a Residence Advisor, Don, and then as a Residence Manager of one of the country's largest student buildings in his first employment. Blake lived with over 6000 housemates during his undergraduate years and led groups of students on service learning excursions around the United States and the Dominican Republic. Blake is well-known for his innovative approach to community building, both in school and today. He applies what he has learned on school to his daily life. Blake's work has been on City TV, the CBC, and even the National News.
