Lower Manhattan Development Corporation's Director is Mr. Billie Tsien. Billie Tsien earned her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Yale in 1971 and her master's degree in architecture from UCLA in 1977. She worked as a painter and teacher from 1971 to 1975.
She has taught at the Southern California Institute of Architecture, Parsons School of Design, Yale University, Harvard Graduate School of Design, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Pennsylvania. She recently shared the Louis I. Kahn chair at Yale University with Tod Williams.
