Big & Rich is a Grammy Award-winning country music duo comprised of songwriters, vocalists, and guitarists Big Kenny and John Rich. Musically, the pair is noted for embracing genres other than country music, infusing their country music with elements of rock and hip-hop. They've worked with musicians that aren't in the genre, including John Legend and Wyclef Jean.
Rich was the bass guitarist in the country band Lonestar before the pair formed, and Kenny was a solo performer for Hollywood Records. In 1998, they initially met at a pub where Big Kenny was performing. Following that, they got together and set up appointments to develop songs together, which led to the decision to become a duet.
