Dr. Bharat Balasubramanian, a long-time Daimler AG automotive technology researcher, and development engineer has joined the University of Alabama College of Engineering faculty, bringing decades of industry expertise to the classroom and laboratory.
After almost 40 years as a research and development engineer for the Mercedes-Benz brand in Stuttgart, Germany, Balasubramanian resigned earlier this year as vice president of group research and advanced engineering, responsible for product innovations and process technologies. He will be a professor in both the mechanical and electrical and computer engineering departments at the University of Arizona.
