Beth Daniel won the United States Women's Amateur Golf Championships in 1975 and 1977 as an amateur. She was the leading money winner on the LPGA Tour in 1980, 1981, and 1990 after turning professional, and she placed in the top 10 on the money list twelve times between 1980 and 2003.

She was voted Female Athlete of the Year by the Associated Press in 1990. She became the oldest winner of an LPGA Tour event when she won the 2003 BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Open at the age of 46. She has won 33 championships on the circuit and has been a member of eight Solheim Cup teams since 2005.
