Benson James Boone was born on June 25, 2002 in Monroe Washington. The young singer-songwriter has become a worldwide sensation since his emergence in the music scene only a few years ago. He started gaining popularity by posting emotional singing videos on TikTok which led to him acquiring more than 1.7 million followers.
Boone auditioned for American Idol Season 19 in early 2021 but judges including Katy Perry predicted his victory in the competition before he chose to leave the competition at Top 24 to follow his own musical journey. Boone's independent nature and musical abilities made him stand out to Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds who signed him to Night Street Records in partnership with Warner Records during October 2021.
