Ben Rooney was appointed to the newly created role of technology editor across The Wall Street Journal Europe’s print and digital editions in September 2010. Based in London Mr. Rooney provides news commentary and analysis on technology business activity in Europe as well as start-ups digital entrepreneurship and gadget and service launches relevant to the regional market.
He also edits The Wall Street Journal Europe’s Tech-Europe blog http://blogs.wsj.com/tech-europe/Mr. Rooney has more than 20 years experience in journalism starting his career at the U.K.’s Daily Telegraph in 1991. He moved to cover technology and went on to become launch editor of Britain’s first daily news web site when he took the Daily Telegraph online in 1994.
