On August 17 1958 she was born. Belinda the daughter of Walt and Joanne Carlisle would go on to become one of pop rocks biggest stars. In 1976 fter graduating from Newbury Park High School Carlisle frequented a lot of Hollywood's clubs. She met Charlotte Caffey Jane Wiedlin Gina Schock and Kathy Valentine from her frequents in clubs.
The Go-Gos in Los Angeles was formed in 1978 and was the first successful all female band of the 80's. Their first album Beauty and the Beat was a hit followed by the less successful Vacation and Talk Show in 1982 and 84 repectively.
