Benjamin Winans, often known as BeBe Winans, is a member of the Winans family, which is regarded as the "first family of gospel music." BeBe is a singer, songwriter, and producer who specializes in inspirational, R&B, and Gospel music. BeBe has six Grammy Awards (three solos, three with CeCe Winans), ten Dove Awards, six Stellar Awards, three NAACP Awards, and a Soul Train Award under her belt. BeBe began his career as a background vocalist with his renowned brothers, The Winans, and for the Praise The Lord television show in the mid-'80s, when he was the seventh of ten children. Together with his sister CeCe Winans, he released one album for The PTL Club before deciding to record entirely with her. The dynamic pair accumulated an incredible run of hits, including Heaven, Addictive Love, and I'll Take You There, as well as platinum-selling albums and a slew of number one singles. Following the success of their five gold and platinum albums, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Heaven, Different Lifestyles, First Christmas, and Relationships, BeBe & CeCe decided to go solo in 1995. BeBe and CeCe started their own record label, B&C Records, in 2009, and released Still, their first album together in 15 years. The R&B and Gospel legends are in the midst of a tremendous career run. Still won two Grammy Awards and five Stellar Awards in 2010. The album, which has nearly reached gold sales status, includes the Billboard chart-topping track Close To You, which BeBe wrote some years ago, as well as the Grammy-winning Grace. Close To You won the 2010 Dove Award for Urban Recorded Song of the Year and was voted BMI's Most Performed Gospel Song of the Year. BeBe and CeCe have made triumphal appearances on Oprah, Good Morning America, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno since the publication of Still. The beautiful brother-sister pair earned a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 20, 2011. BeBe Winans debuted his own weekly radio show, The BeBe Experience, on Sirius/XM Radio in October 2010. BeBe made her acting debut in the 2003 film The Manchurian Candidate. BeBe has worked as a judge and executive producer on BET's Sunday Best lately. BeBe made her Broadway comeback in early 2008, co-starring as Harpo with longtime friend Chaka Khan (Sofia) in the Broadway production of The Color Purple. BeBe appeared in a television motion picture in August 2011 that was scheduled to air on The Gospel Music Channel in early 2012.
