Bayard founded American Giant after spending nearly 20 years running businesses in the consumer products space. He began his career in corporate finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, but soon left investment banking for a career in running businesses.
He has held key leadership positions in a variety of brands from Atlas Snowshoe (sold to K2 Sports), WBS (Sold to Disney), Freebord Manufacturing (Privately Held) and Chrome Industries (Privately Held). Bayard is also the co-author of an upcoming book on the future of retail, along with Randy Komisar of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
