In 1979, Boston's best new comedians were booked into the Ding Ho, a Chinese restaurant in Inman Square, by Barry Crimmins, a politically conscious comic from upstate New York. The club was owned by comedians and served as a training ground for some of Boston's top comics as well as some of the country's most successful standups.
Barry left production to focus on acting after helping to kickstart Boston comedy. He rose to prominence as one of the country's best political satirists. Barry has dedicated himself to a variety of causes and has been recognized for his readiness to abandon everything when his wisdom and leadership were needed.
