Barbara Farris was a WNBA basketball player who played for the Detroit Shock. Previously, Farris was a member of the New York Liberty. She appeared in all three of the Liberty's postseason appearances during the 2007 season, appearing in 28 regular-season games. After Liberty recruited Janel McCarville, Jessica Davenport, and Tiffany Jackson in 2007, Farris was forced to the bench.
In 1994, Farris received his diploma from St. Martin's Episcopal School. She is a member of the Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame at St. Martin's. Farris earned her bachelor's degree in sociology from Tulane University in 1998.
