Barbara Davilman is a writer, a successful entrepreneur, and the Producer of NBC's reality show Starting Over. Davilman started her own successful greeting card company, Bittersweet Cards, before entering the entertainment world. She has also written two Lifetime TV movies. Davilman's career in the entertainment world began very unusually, as a receptionist at a boutique advertising firm in New York.
It was here that she made her first attempt at writing. Davilman remained late one evening because he was bored and wrote a radio advertisement for one of the agency's customers. It was a smash once she anonymously dropped it in the creative director's mailbox.
