Astrid S. Tuminez Biography

Dr. Astrid S. Tuminez joined Microsoft in 2012 as Regional Director for Corporate External and Legal Affairs (Southeast Asia). Her team supports 15 markets and drives government affairs policy and regulatory engagements academic and non-profit relations and other activities to enhance understanding and use of technology for the public good. She is also the former Vice-Dean and Assistant Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (National University of Singapore) the premier school of public policy in Asia.
Previously she was senior consultant to the U.S. Institute of Peace Director of Research at AIG Global Investment and program officer at Carnegie Corporation of New York. Astrid ran the Moscow office of the Harvard Project on Strengthening Democratic Institutions in the 1990s and worked with key reformers including Mikhail Gorbachev and Eduard Shevardnadze. She is also a permanent member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Astrid received the Filipina Women’s Network’s “100 Most Influential” Filipinas recognition in 2013 and in 2016 she was awarded the Gold Standard Award for Professional Excellence by Public Affairs Asia for her work in corporate affairs and public policy.
