Asante Blackk (born Asante Ma'at) is an actor most known for his portrayal of Kevin Richardson, a young man, in the Netflix miniseries When They See Us (2019), for which he received critical praise and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. In addition, he had an appearance in the fourth season of the television show This Is Us (2019).
Blackk started acting when he was in elementary school at Henson Valley Montessori School, playing Mowgli in a production of The Jungle Book. He obtained an agency after appearing in How I Learned to Be a Kid at The Howard Theatre in Washington, which was one of his first professional jobs.
