There, she organized the first National Conference on Hate Crimes and Hate Violence, mobilizing over 100 national partners and playing a pivotal role in the enactment of the Georgia Hate Crimes Act.

In 2006, Arndrea married Martin Luther King III. Together, they have a daughter, Yolanda Renee King, born in 2008, who is also an emerging young activist. Arndrea has been instrumental in preserving and digitizing the archives of the King Center through a partnership with JPMorgan Chase.

Currently, Arndrea serves as the president of the Drum Major Institute, a nonprofit organization founded on Dr. King's vision of a world free of racism, poverty, and violence.
