Aria Mia Loberti is a human rights advocate, actress, writer, and scholar. She is best known for her debut role as Marie-Laure LeBlanc in Netflix's 2023 miniseries “All the Light We Cannot See," an adaptation of Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. Despite no acting experience, Loberti won the lead role after a global casting search for a blind or low-vision actress, beating thousands of applicants. Her performance earned critical acclaim, with reviews describing it as “luminous” and “radiant,” and she received a Rising Star Award at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, an Entertainment Weekly Breaking Big Award, and a nomination for Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards.

Loberti, who is legally blind due to a severe form of achromatopsia, a rare genetic eye condition, was homeschooled from third grade through high school. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island in 2020 with triple majors in Philosophy, Communication Studies, and Political Science and minors in Ancient Greek and Rhetoric. A Fulbright Scholar, she earned a master's degree in ancient rhetoric with distinction from Royal Holloway, University of London, in 2021. She was a PhD candidate in ancient rhetoric at Penn State University before pivoting to acting.
