Ari Shapiro is an American journalist and NPR host renowned for co-hosting "All Things Considered" since 2015. Raised in Portland, Oregon, he graduated from Yale University with a degree in English. Shapiro joined NPR at 22 as an intern, becoming a justice correspondent and covering landmark cases such as the Supreme Court's same-sex marriage rulings.
As an international correspondent, he reported from over 50 countries, including war zones in Iraq and Ukraine. He served as NPR's London bureau chief and White House correspondent during Obama's presidency. A four-time Peabody Award winner, Shapiro also hosts the podcast “Consider This” and co-created "Trump, Inc." with WNYC.
