Ari Johnson is the co-founder and CEO of Muso, a global health organization dedicated to preventing unnecessary deaths in the world's poorest areas. He works at San Francisco General Hospital as an associate professor of medicine at the University of California San Francisco Institute for Global Health Sciences.
Johnson has written peer-reviewed papers and essays on infectious illness, health systems design, socioeconomic determinants of health, HIV/AIDS, and migration. He is a co-recipient of the Charles Bronfman Prize in 2021 for his work at Muso, an annual honor given to a humanitarian under the age of 50 whose creative work, influenced by Jewish principles, has greatly changed the world.
