Dropbox was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi, both MIT computer science students. The two were quick to go to work. Ferdowsi withdrew out of school his last semester to devote himself entirely to the project, notwithstanding Houston's recent graduation.
For three months, the couple worked nonstop in a tiny Cambridge office, waking up at midday every day and working till dawn the following. I believe we began in the same way that most IT firms do.
