Anne Calcagno is the author of "Love Like A Dog," a novel, and a collection of short stories, "Pray for Yourself." The recipient of the San Francisco Phelan Literary Award, an NEA Fellowship and two Illinois Arts Council Awards, her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Chicago-Sun Times, The Chicago Tribune, The North American Review, TriQuarterly, Denver Quarterly, Epoch and other publications.

A citizen of Italy and the US, Anne is editor of Travelers Tales: Italy, which won Foreward's Silver Medal for Best Travel Book. She teaches in the MFA program at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, where she is at work on a novel.
