Anna Gifty Opoku-Agyeman is a Ghanaian-American researcher, writer, and activist. A doctoral candidate at Harvard Kennedy School studying public policy and economics, she focuses on workplace and academic inequality, using data to address discrimination. She graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2019 with a B.A. in mathematics and a minor in economics.
Opoku-Agyeman co-founded The Sadie Collective in 2018, a nonprofit promoting Black women in economics and related fields, and #BlackBirdersWeek in 2019, celebrating Black naturalists. Her book, "The Black Agenda: Bold Solutions for a Broken System’ (2022) features Black scholars addressing systemic issues.
