Anita Chandra is a senior policy researcher at the RAND Corporation and vice president and director of RAND Social and Economic Well-Being. She was the director of RAND's Justice, Infrastructure, and Environment department, as well as the department's Behavioral and Policy Sciences.
She directs research on civic well-being and urban planning, community resilience and long-term catastrophe recovery, military deployment consequences, health in all policies, and creating a healthy culture, and child health and development. Chandra has worked with government and non-governmental partners to develop cross-sector solutions for promoting community well-being and to strengthen systems and evaluation capacity throughout her career.
