Andy Goodman is a nationally known public interest communications author, lecturer, and consultant. He's also the author of Why Bad Ads Happen to Good Causes and Why Bad Presentations Happen to Good Causes, in addition to Storytelling as Best Practice. He also produces free-range thinking, a monthly magazine dedicated to sharing best practices in the area. Andy has been invited to speak at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public Affairs, Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, and numerous nonprofit and foundation conferences. He is best known for his speeches and workshops on storytelling, presenting, and strategic communications. Andy has been advising NGOs and foundations since 1998, and in 2008 he co-founded The Goodman Center with Lipman Hearne to provide online seminars to more nonprofits, foundations, and government agencies. Andy is a Senior Advisor at Civic Ventures and serves on the advisory boards of VolunteerMatch and GreatNonprofits when he is not teaching, traveling, or recovering from teaching and traveling. In 2007 and 2012, he was a member of former Vice President Al Gore's Climate Project's teaching faculty.
