Andy Andres is a senior lecturer in natural science at the College of General Studies and a baseball specialist. In addition to the work described above, Andres publishes, lectures, and speaks to the media about the impact of drugs on baseball players, and he teaches a course in sabermetrics, the data-driven study of baseball performance, at Tufts University.
These activities allow the lifetime Red Sox fan and athlete to combine his two passions: baseball and science. Andres also works as an MLB datacaster at Fenway Park, a data analyst for BaseballHQ.com, and the Head Coach/Lead Instructor for the MIT Science of Baseball Program.
