Andres Chavez carries on the profound legacy of his grandfather, Cesar Chavez, as the executive director of the National Chavez Center (NCC). Tasked with educating the nation about Cesar Chavez’s enduring legacy, Andres also manages two historic sites, including La Paz in Keene, California. This site, where Cesar Chavez spent his final years, now partly serves as the César E. Chávez National Monument, operated in collaboration with the National Park Service. Through his leadership, Andres ensures the continuation and relevance of his grandfather's work in advocating for farmworkers' rights.

Growing up in the shadow of a civil rights icon, Andres Chavez offers a unique perspective on the struggles and triumphs of Cesar Chavez's movement. He brings to life the solidarity, boycotts, and picket lines that marked a transformative era in the agricultural industry's treatment of its workers. Andres believes in the power of Latinx millennials to effect change and make their voices heard on contemporary issues, drawing inspiration from the battles his grandfather fought and won.
