Andreas Schierenbeck began his career with Siemens AG in Vienna, Austria, in 1992 as a control center software developer, followed by jobs in commissioning, project management, and business development. He spent two years in Colombia and Venezuela in this capacity. He was entrusted with reorganizing a software business bought by Siemens upon his return to Austria's capital.
He continued to work in control center technology after this project was completed successfully. He moved to the Building Technologies Division in 2005, first as Senior Vice President for Fire Services, to take on new challenges.
