Amy Nelson is the founder and CEO of The Riveter, a nationwide membership network developed by women for women that includes community, content, tools, and coworking spaces. Nelson, a graduate of Emory University and NYU School of Law, spent over a decade in New York City and Seattle practicing business litigation with an emphasis on high-profile First Amendment cases.
She was also a member of President Barack Obama's National Finance Committee, where she co-chaired Gen44, the campaign's under 40 fundraising arm. She formerly worked at The Carter Center, which was founded by President Jimmy Carter. Nelson founded The Riveter in 2017 while pregnant with her third child in three years, and she had her fourth child in June 2019.
