Amy earned her Doctor of Education in Instructional Design & Technology from the University of Memphis in August 2004. While pursuing her PhD, she worked as adjunct lecturer in the College of Education and as a research assistant in the Institute for Intelligent Systems for three years.
She is presently an Associate Professor of Instructional Design & Technology at Old Dominion University's Darden College of Education. Her research interests are on the creation and application of learning technology. More specifically, she has been working on solutions for remote students as well as gaming and simulation settings.
