From 2008 to 2012, Setton portrayed Penelope Shafai in the adolescent drama Gossip Girl. On August 14, 2009, she made her debut as Kimberly Andrews on the ABC serial series One Life to Live. Setton also appeared in the films Sex and the City and What Happens in Vegas, both released in 2008.
Despite being given a contract and a salary raise, Setton recorded her final episode as Kim on One Life to Live on February 21, 2010, according to the website Daytime Confidential. In 2010, Setton returned to Gossip Girl. Setton was confirmed to return to One Life to Live as Kimberly Andrews in August 2011 on June 22, 2011.
