Amanda Berry vanished on April 21, 2003, one day before her seventeenth birthday celebration. Berry was last gotten with when she called her sister to reveal to her that she was getting a ride home from her position at a Burger King at West 110th Street and Lorain Avenue.
The FBI at first looked at Berry as a runaway, until seven days after her vanishing, when a unidentified male utilized Berry's phone to call her mom, saying I have Amanda. She's fine and will be getting back home in two or three days. That man was Berry's ruffian, Ariel Castro.
