Ambassador Alon Pinkas has over two decades of expertise in foreign affairs and has committed his career to Israeli international relations. From 2000 until 2004, he was the Consul General of Israel in New York, acting as a liaison between the state of Israel and the US national media, national Jewish groups, governmental authorities, and other commercial interests.
His mission was to know, analyze, and digest Israel for Americans, as well as to know, analyze, and digest the US for Israelis. Pinkas, a veteran of negotiating sessions across the world and one of the key negotiators in Israel's departure from Lebanon in 2000, is an expert on border issues now facing Israel and the Middle East.
