In June of 2012, Allyn was crowned Miss District of Columbia. Her community work platform, Organizing a Marathon, Racing a Sprint, has been highlighted on Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, E! Allyn previously won the 1st Miss Sinergy breast cancer philanthropy pageant, which was hosted at the Swedish Embassy in Washington, D.C. in 2010. She went on to win Miss Maryland USA 2011 and represent Maryland in the 2011 Miss USA Pageant, where she placed in the Top 8 overall and won America's vote for Best in Evening Gown.
